Can I use RateX without an internet connection?
Yes. Open the Android app while connected to download rates, then use those saved rates offline. Connect again to update them. The web converter needs an internet connection to load rates.
Why is this different from my bank’s exchange rate?
The web converter shows indicative rates. Banks, card providers and exchange offices may apply their own margins and fees. In the RateX app, you can enter a custom rate to calculate with the quote you have been offered.
Can I compare several currencies at once?
Yes. Enter an amount in the Android app’s multi-currency converter to see it in the currencies you have added. The web converter on this page handles one pair at a time.
Does RateX have a home screen widget?
Yes. Add a RateX widget to your Android home screen to keep a currency pair in view. It shows a saved rate and its update time, with a button to refresh when you are connected.
Can I use RateX on an iPhone?
