Before you exchange
A useful reference. Your actual quote may differ.
01
Euros into francs
EUR is the euro; CHF is the Swiss franc, the currency of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, often written Fr. on price tags. Switzerland is not in the EU and keeps its own currency. Multiply euros by the EUR/CHF rate above, or swap to see a franc price in euros.
02
Paying with euros
Some shops, hotels and ticket machines in Switzerland take euro cash, usually at their own rate and with change in francs. When you pay by card and a terminal offers to charge you in euros, choosing francs usually avoids an extra conversion margin.
03
Keep a reference in your pocket
In the Android app, save the pairs you use, compare several currencies and enter your own exchange rate. Download rates before you leave to keep a reference available offline.

Each page has its own converter and a table of common amounts.
The code comes from Confoederatio Helvetica, the Latin name of Switzerland, plus F for franc. Price tags in Switzerland usually show CHF or Fr.
I earn francs and spend euros. Can I convert that way too?
Yes. Tap the swap button. The converter and the table of common amounts switch to CHF to EUR. The rate your bank uses for a transfer may differ from this indicative conversion.
How up to date is the conversion?
The timestamp below the result tells you when the rate data was updated, in your local time. The page requests the latest available data when opened and refreshes while in use. It does not stream market prices. If an update fails, it can keep using data less than 24 hours old with a visible notice. Otherwise, it shows an unavailable state.
Will I receive exactly this amount when exchanging money?
Not necessarily. This is an indicative conversion. Your provider may use a different exchange rate and apply fees. Check the final quote with your bank or exchange office before exchanging.
