01

Euros into forints

EUR is the euro; HUF is the Hungarian forint, shown as Ft on price tags. Hungary is in the EU but uses its own currency. Multiply euros by the EUR/HUF rate above, or swap to see a forint price in euros.

02

Count the zeros

One euro converts into hundreds of forints, so everyday prices run into the thousands and quick mental math is easy to get wrong. Keep the converter handy, or use the table of common amounts as a reference.

03

Keep a reference in your pocket

In the Android app, save the pairs you use, compare several currencies and enter your own exchange rate. Download rates before you leave to keep a reference available offline.

About converting euros and forints.

Can I pay in euros in Hungary?

Some places in tourist areas accept euros, but at their own rate, usually with change in forints. Paying in forints, by card or cash, is usually simpler and cheaper.

Can I convert forints to euros?

Yes. Tap the swap button. The converter and the table of common amounts switch to HUF to EUR.

How up to date is the conversion?

The timestamp below the result tells you when the rate data was updated, in your local time. The page requests the latest available data when opened and refreshes while in use. It does not stream market prices. If an update fails, it can keep using data less than 24 hours old with a visible notice. Otherwise, it shows an unavailable state.

Will I receive exactly this amount when exchanging money?

Not necessarily. This is an indicative conversion. Your provider may use a different exchange rate and apply fees. Check the final quote with your bank or exchange office before exchanging.
